I admit that I'm playing it safe with the Splattershot Jr. I could use a different weapon, but the Jr lets me be mobile and gives me a Bubbler for emergencies. I'll swap to something else once I'm a bit more comfortable.
This Rainmaker battle gets off to an amazing start. ...

I made it to S Rank. I'm not quite sure what to expect, except maybe an increase in skill levels of the other inklings. What I get is a huge increase in skill levels. Splatted by a charger through a tiny gap at the start of the map is unexpected.
But ...

Chargers versus Rollers and Gals. As we're on Camp Triggerfish, we probably ought to win this battle comfortably, as we should be able to control the crossing point at the middle of the map without too much trouble. It will only be the last minute of the battle when the ...

I've been abusing the Splatterscope, so let's change weapons. On to the Splattershot Jr, another favourite of mine these days.
The Splattershot Jr naturally requires its own strategies. My normal tactic with shooters is to advance quickly, cross to the opponents' territory, and be a pest. But for the Splattershot Jr ...

I'm about to quit for the night, but notice I am one battle away from being 'On Fire'. I can't leave it there, obviously, so I head back in. But as I have to win the battle to get fiery, I swap to something more reliable than the Custom Blaster ...

I've worked out that going up to the centre of the platform in Kelp Dome on Rainmaker is a sure way to get splatted by its shield, and instead take one of the jutting columns. Much better.
If I can work out what can stop an Inkzooka splatting me, I think ...

What the hell are my team doing at the start of this Rainmaker battle? They go every which way but actually towards the Rainmaker. And there's a growing body of empirical evidence that all I'll manage to do at the start is get splatted. Oh well.
At least we get a ...

'Secure the Splat Zones' is more of a guideline than an objective, really. I suppose it depends on my mood, my weapon, and what my squidmates are up to.
In this battle, I enjoy getting past the Splat Zones and in to enemy territory, where they probably don't expect me to ...

I try a new route to the Splat Zones in this battle. It looks pretty good, when I can make the jump. Otherwise, I am sticking to my tactic of crossing the middle and being a pest.
That massive rotating display is great for hiding and evading. Well, for me it ...

I'm having a lot of fun with the Splattershot Jr in Splat Zones on Museum d'Alfonsino. It's a versatile weapon with plenty of mobility, and the Bubbler really helps get me out of a sticky spot.
Case in point, jumping headlong in to a Killer Wail ought to teach me a ...
