Another ten battles or so, and Arnaud is still there. He'll outlast me, because I'm just after one more decent battle before I call it a night. I think this is the one. A good early splat, and simultaneous Killer Wails, and Arnaud following up to splat me. Excellent.
Falling backwards ...

Yep, I've been knocked down to A-. So it goes. I'm thinking I shouldn't be down here long, but not even my mad Splatterscope skillz with a Z are reliably helping me win the battles. It doesn't help when I forget to release the trigger before squidding.
One thing I notice ...

The Kelp Splatterscope! No relying on Splat Bombs this time. It seems like a good idea, with the Sprinkler for Splat Zones, and Killer Wail for Port Mackerel and Walleye Warehouse. That's if I manage to use them both, particularly as I still haven't got it in my head which ...

Tower Control is over, time to make good with my promise to play more with the Splat Roller. So I do, and it does not go so well. Rollers aren't as easy to play as good players make out. You can't just flick some ink and splat everyone in front ...

Otherwise known as 'pushing my luck'. My plan with the Tri-slosher is the opposite to my plan with the Splatterscope. I go down the other side, across the centre, and around the back. What do you know, it works!
Because my initial plan works, I try it again. And it works ...

I want to hang back in this Splat Zones battle in Walleye Warehouse, take care of the turf, apply pressure to encroaching threats. But I can't resist going mobile and trying to apply more direct pressure.
Sure, it doesn't work, not at first, but approaching the Zones from a different perspective ...

I feel guilty squidding slowly behind the Roller, and just as guilty splatting ink over his head. But we both take the same route, so without going a sub-optimal way for me there's not much to be done. We'll work something out.
My opposite charger seems to be coming my way. ...

On the one hand, I didn't really give the Roller a proper outing this evening. On the other hand, I like running rampant with the Tri-slosher. It doesn't happen every battle, but when it does, I have buckets of fun. Arf!
My main aim is to get to the centre and ...

I've had some initial experience with the Splat Roller, and swapped to the Splatterscope for a bit to have some fun for a bit. That doesn't work at all, with an excellent E-litre 3K on the other team denying me any time to find my aim. Let's see what I ...

I do much better in my second battle with the Splat Roller. Admittedly, having an excellent team behind me to take up my huge slack helps greatly. I hope they didn't notice me trying to squid on un-inked turf. I do know how to squid, honest.
I miss the jump-flick on ...
