It occurs to me that I haven't battled with a shooter for ages, preferring instead the less traditional weapons. But I used to, so I'm going back to them for a bit. The obvious first choice is the Splash-o-matic, the first weapon I mained. My strategies don't really change much, ...

Even without a charger on the other team, I immediately head the long and perilous route to get behind the perch. I find an inkling there and splat him, so it wasn't such a bad idea. If only I could have got out of the way of the stupidly geared ...

After a cautious start, I think I make a decent pounce at a target, but my flicking either isn't quite good enough, or an inkling kitted out for run speed is just a bit too quick for me. I pick my moment well on my return, though, even if it ...

I see that Hyrda Splatling, and stupidly think it's a good idea to find and splat them immediately. So it goes that I run in to a Nozzlenose. Dunno how that happened. I see how my next splatting happens, though. I have a great idea to ambush an Inkzooka from ...

Look at me go! I do enjoy my bucket. It also lets me slosh the Rainmaker's Shield from safely behind a wall. Not that it matters this time, as our green ink overwhelms the purple, and it is a purple inkling who feels the splat as a result. I'm so ...

I don't think I'm a bad player, but the way some battles go it's hard to convince myself otherwise. I'm not convinced my play-style changes significantly between battles, but the results can vary wildly. Still, I get the occasional moment that is definitely lucky, like apparently being in exactly the ...

I do like going around the back. It doesn't always work, admittedly, and I need to be more aware of when I'm needed closer to the objective, but I like to think I help more than hinder. Mahi-Mahi Resort, despite it's puddles, offers some nice routes.
I don't go around the ...

My Seeker is on the edge leading off this battle, but it's a straight line that I can follow. I hold back, not wanting to get mired in the initial tussle for the Rainmaker, where the Carbon Roller really doesn't want to be, and push forwards only when it looks ...

Sunday, April 16th, 2017
There's really only one way to go at the start of a battle on Mahi-Mahi Resort with a Carbon Roller Deco, and that's behind a launched Seeker, straight ahead. It works better when it goes straight too, but never mind that. And never mind about the Killer Wail splatting the ...

The Mahi-Mahi Resort water level doesn't drop immediately in Rainmaker, only when one team gets close enough to the podium. That makes the route around the side a little more hazardous and open to being stopped. I go that way anyway, because I enjoy it so much.
I get to a ...
