Oop, the screen judders as we are shown Kelp Dome. That's not a good sign. Who has lost an inkling? We have. Oh well, we can just do what we can, even though odds are we're about to get stomped. At least we all squid away with purpose.
I start a ...

I honestly didn't expect to get such an easy splat from going up on the grating at the start of the battle, but it doesn't surprise me that the inkling was looking down. And as I've cleared the way, I should probably hop on the Tower. Why don't I?
Instead, I ...

I'm not having much luck in Rainmaker tonight. I'm sticking with the Carbon Roller, because both Kelp Dome and Port Mackerel should allow for good rolling and seeking.
I try to put my Seekers to use in Kelp Dome, which includes basic inking of turf throughout. But Seekers alone don't ink ...

Back to the Carbon Roller Deco to finish tonight's session. It's not easy to use, but I think that just means I should get more practice with it. Although I really shouldn't treat it like a bucket, I can't help but take similar routes as with a Tri-slosher.
I don't find ...

Do I make a good start, or do my squidmates seem asleep? As I push forwards I check my Gamepad, and they are moving, so everything seems okay. Hopefully it doesn't bode well for the rest of the battle.
It's nice to have a decoy for my first flanking effort. They ...

I'm still not entirely sure how to start a Ranked battle with the Carbon Roller Deco. Inking my way around away from the objective would let me build up my Special charge, but the Seeker Rush isn't always that effective. But rushing to the objective is pretty tricky to pull ...

It battles aren't going well, try a different weapon. Maybe not a weapon you have barely played before and is difficult to learn. But so it goes, and I give the Carbon Roller a try.
I'm not very good with it. How other inklings splat me so easily and reliably with ...

It's a good, pointed start to this battle. I see the E-litre 3K on the other team and aim to splat her first. I take the route to the ramp, and up to the overhead walkway, which should let me see which perch she's using.
I pause to slosh down over ...

How best to start a Splat Zones battle on Kelp Dome? Getting to the Splat Zones seems good, and not getting splatted seems better. It's just a pity I can only reliably do one of those.
At least I can splat a slight incautious Splatling, backing in to our side of ...

Two shots needed to hit a stationary inkling. Not my finest hour. At least the Splattershot splats me, not the Rainmaker shield, although I was hoping that my Splat Bomb Rush would explode the shield a bit quicker.
I somehow avoid the Kraken, despite my realising a bit late that there ...
