Overrun in Rainmaker

Not feeling particularly good at Rainmaker with the Dual Squelcher, it's probably not the best idea to switch to the Splatterscope. But whatever. If I want to improve my situational awareness, and get better at dealing with the relative ranges of weapons, it seems like a good plan, if a bit like jumping in at the deep end.

I get a crucial splat near the podium, but I can't tell if it's the Splat Bomb or my shot that does it. It doesn't really matter, as they pretty much overrun our base at that point.

There's not much you can do when the Rainmaker's shield bursts next to the podium as an Inkstrike engulfs it.
